About mtb feed
mtb feed is a fast, fan-to-fan mountain bike news feed: downhill, enduro, XC, slopestyle and bike tech, served hot every few hours. It is an independent project run by Jerome Lacote, not affiliated with any team, brand, event or governing body.
How stories are made
- We collect public posts only — official team, rider and event accounts, publisher RSS feeds and YouTube channels.
- Stories are machine-written summaries. An AI model condenses what the sources say into a short headline and a few sentences. We do not copy articles.
- Every story links back to the original posts. The sources are listed on each story page. If you want the full story, read it where it was published.
- Grounding checks. Every name, team, brand and place in a summary must appear in the source material; anything else is dropped or rewritten. We still make mistakes — see corrections below.
- Discipline separation. Each story is classified by discipline so downhill, enduro, XC, slopestyle and tech stay separate unless a story genuinely covers more than one.
- Memes are labelled. “Meme of the day” items are jokes, never news, and are never used for the editor’s note.
- Junior and amateur results are labelled as such.
Images and video
Story cards show the picture from the original post or article (or the YouTube thumbnail), credited and linked to the original. We keep a copy so the picture doesn't disappear when the source's image link expires. When there is no picture we use our own artwork. Video stories use the official YouTube player (loaded only when you press play). Creators can ask us to remove a picture at any time.
Polls, reactions and accounts
Signing in (Google or an email link) lets you react to stories and vote in the daily poll. One reaction per story and one vote per poll per account. Polls are AI-generated from the day’s top stories under the same grounding rules and reviewed by an editor when needed.
